CHANGELOG

v26: UI Overhaul + Nation AI Evolution

Build menu and player info panel reworked, new resource-gifting modal, rails can cross rivers, AFK teammates' territory can be taken over by their team.

v26 Published Oct 14, 2025 #changelog#balance#features

Major New Mechanics

  • New Build Bar: Replaces the old radial submenu — buttons pinned to the bottom of the screen, common buildings one click away.
  • New player info panel: The top-right player info card has been redesigned. Stats, diplomacy, and current troops are visible at a glance.
  • Resource gifting modal: Right-clicking an ally opens a standalone window where you can send a specific amount of troops / gold in one go.
  • Rails cross rivers: Train tracks can now span rivers, making long-distance rail networks far easier to build out.
  • AFK takeover: Territory you couldn’t get from active teammates can now be seized directly from disconnected teammates.
  • Delete units: Regret a build? Right-click your own units to manually tear them down and recover part of the gold.

Key Balance Changes

ItemOldNewImpact
Teammate AFKOnly you keep playingTeam can take over their territory and shipsReduces team losses from disconnects
MIRV warhead spreadTighterWider outer ring scatterMore psychological pressure, harder to defend everything
Port trade ship rateHighLowered, paired with the v25 global capThe gold ceiling from port count is pushed down further
Conspiracy trapsAmbush after betrayal → penaltyAttacking immediately after a new alliance counts as betrayalFixes the “fake alliance instant-snipe” exploit

Nation AI Improvements

  • Nations make smarter overall decisions: caching player info, dynamically allying based on threat.
  • No more “mindless nukes”: targets are evaluated for value before launch.
  • Nations on a team will actively support attacked teammates.

Maps

  • New Japan and Montreal maps (aotumuri / Duwibi).
  • Map asset compression: client size from 140 MB → 30 MB (lossless).
  • Fixed Strait of Gibraltar map boundary issue.

Strategies Players Should Adjust

  1. Grab AFK teammates’ territory: From v26 on, idle teammates are effectively the team’s reserve resource pool.
  2. Demolish-rebuild loop: The unit deletion refund makes early-game experimentation cheaper — you can be more aggressive about placement.
  3. Rails string continents together: With cross-river support, island and river-heavy maps can now also host factory networks.
